Privacy Policy
Al-Bayaan Vertalingen (Marwan Mrait, sworn translator Arabic-Dutch, Wbtv number 40955) handles personal data with care. This policy explains which data we process, why, and what your rights are.

1. Controller

2. Data we process from clients
- Name, phone number, email address and the messages you send us via WhatsApp or email.
- The documents you have translated, and the data they contain.
- Your postal address, if we send the translation by post.
- Payment details required for our administration, such as the amount and date.
3. Why we process this data
- To produce, certify and deliver your translation, and to communicate with you about your order.
- To ship the translation via PostNL with a tracking code.
- To comply with legal obligations, such as tax record retention.
- The legal basis is the performance of our agreement with you and our legal obligations.
4. Tools and processors
- We use an internal assistant ("Ibo") and AI services from Anthropic and OpenRouter to prepare messages, drafts and translations. Every translation is checked and signed by the sworn translator personally.
- We use PostNL for shipping. Our website is hosted by Vercel.
- We never sell your data and share it with these parties only as far as needed for your order.
5. Retention
- Documents and messages are kept no longer than needed for your order and any follow-up questions.
- Data required for our administration is kept for 7 years, as required by Dutch law.
6. Website, cookies and Google Ads
- Our website uses the Google tag of Google Ads to measure how many visitors arrive through our ads and how often the WhatsApp button is clicked. Google may place cookies for this purpose.
- We use these measurements only to improve our advertising.
7. Google user data (Google Ads and Search Console)
- Al-Bayaan Vertalingen uses its own internal application to manage its own Google Ads account and its own Google Search Console data for albayaanvertalingen.nl. The application is used only by Al-Bayaan Vertalingen itself and is not available to others.
- With the account owner's consent, the application reads through the Google APIs: campaign statistics (impressions, clicks, costs, conversions), search terms, keywords, and the website's search performance in Google (queries, clicks, positions).
- This data is used only to create internal reports and to suggest improvements, such as negative keywords, new keywords and better page titles. Changes to the advertising account are made only after manual approval by the owner. Budgets and campaign status are never changed automatically.
- To draft suggestions, search terms and statistics may be processed by the AI services listed in section 4. The data is stored locally on the computer of Al-Bayaan Vertalingen, is not sold, not shared for advertising purposes, and not used to train AI models.
- The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Access can be revoked at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Stored data is deleted on request.
8. Security
- We protect data with appropriate measures, such as secure connections, access codes and two-step verification.
9. Your rights
- You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, and to object to its use. Send a message to marwanmrait@gmail.com.
- If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
